Who We Are

So much more than a meal delivery service

Meals on Wheels La Mirada is a movement of everyday people standing up to senior hunger and isolation. Every weekday, caring volunteers deliver fresh, nourishing meals to the homebound, elderly and disabled — helping our neighbors stay healthy, independent and connected in their own homes.

For many of the people we serve, the volunteer at the door is the only friendly face they will see all day. That knock means a warm meal, a safety check and a moment of real human connection.

How It Works

Getting meals is easy

Call Us

Call our office at (562) 943-0037, Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. We’ll answer your questions and check that the service is right for you or your loved one.

We Get You Set Up

Signing up is simple. Meals are available to La Mirada residents age 60 and older and to disabled adults age 18 and older, at a nominal daily cost — please call us for current rates.

Our volunteers deliver connection along with lunch. A daily hello breaks through isolation — and often becomes a real friendship.

Volunteers are often the first to notice when something isn’t right — giving families near and far true peace of mind every weekday.

We’re there for the neighbor whose hands created many masterpieces, but can no longer open a can of soup — because everyone deserves to age with dignity, connection and a good meal.
